"One of the most frequent questions I get from people is: What is your favorite wine?
After so many hours of studying, learning, and tasting wines, I believe this is one of the most challenging questions to answer for many reasons. While I was studying for my certification, I started to grow my respect and appreciation for the many crafters involved in wine production. Year after year, they provide us with a bottle of wine at our tables that symbolize not only their country, region, and culture but also their passion and their values and beliefs. For this reason, I think it is not fair to have one "favorite," but I do love a lot of wine regions and their different styles.
One of the reasons why I decided to start studying the world of wine is because, as a human being, I noticed that we still have so many wars. I see many regions that suffer from hunger and poverty. I see racism manifested in many ways that affect and repulse me. But I am a dreamer and believe change can happen if we all come together and begin to build a better future for our children and the next generations to come.
And I can't think of a better way to express this than by sitting with a glass of wine together at the table like a big family to enjoy the good things in life with the people we love."
